February 9, 2005 - Happy Lunar New Year
Here at AnimeFAQs we go by the lunar calendar! So it's a new year an
our resolutions are to continue to try to put up a good site. It's
quite a difficult task considering there aren't many people working on
it. Our schedules have been quite chaotic and with the lead
programmer having been gone on business for a while, well, there hasn't
been much in terms of progress. But, we have made some drastic behind
the scenes changes and hopefully you'll notice the difference! We now
check our site against both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox for
web friendliess! While we still don't have much new content, check out
Miriya's Special: In Japan section!
July 13, 2004 - AnimExpo 2004 Report Coming Soon
The AnimExpo 2004 report will be coming soon, just as soon as we transfer the videos from
our DV tapes to the computer and pictures from the cameras and write up the new stories.
We didn't have many reporters at the convention this year so we may open the doors for
independent writers - we're not sure yet. We hope to have something up soon. Thanks for
the patience and continued support. We've also updated the AnimeFAQs side of the character
polls to reflect the poll results. However, were were unable to get a copy of Animage for
July so be sure to watch for the August poll results.

June 13, 2004 - AnimExpo 2004 Special Created and Updated
The AnimExpo 2004 section has been created and added to the menu on the left (if you haven't
noticed yet). It's still a little sparse with not much information - but we're fairly prepared
to post information up once the convention is going. You're proabbly more interested for
information before going and we'll try to get some stuff up before the convention goes, but
time is short and we'll do what we can. Thanks again for your support. Please send email to
the webmaster if you would really like pre-AnimExpo on a specific event and we'll try to do
what we can.
May 16, 2004 - Convention Section Added
The convention section has been added! There's only a small list in there right now, but as far
as being cool - it's well - uh... kind of there with a color coded calendar that shows you when
the a convention is going on. The AnimExpo 2004 section will be focus of the next changes.
Hopefully everything will be ready by then. It's slow moving, but it's moving. Thanks again for
the ongoing support.
April 12, 2004 - Changes and Planned Changes
Yes, we're slow movers, but between a full time job of coding and coding these web pages, it gets
a bit tiring, but never fear, we still move. The most recent change - the news archive has been
moved over to PHP so we can move the old out faster than we can make the new! Our currently planned
changes are to get a little something up for AnimExpo 2004! We've promised to do AnimExpo news
stories in the past but this year we'll try to get it done quickly. So keep an eye out, the Special:
AnimExpo 2K4 link may appear soon.
January 24, 2004 - More Code Moving
A little is getting done here and there. The IRC Guide has just finished moving to using PHP!
To a lot of you out there, it doesn't mean much - but this site is still alive, dragging a little
on its feet, but things are starting to pick back up a bit. Be sure to check out the Special: In
Japan section. It's not totally new, but one of our writers is in Japan. Take a look to see what's
going on there from a residential perspective. Again we thank you for your support and appreciate
the incoming mail and feedback!
January 12, 2004 - Work in Progress
We've been really busy lately with work and other projects. Please bear with us as we try
to balance our work load with this website. Thank you very much for your patience.
May 7, 2003 - Still Transitioning
Still transitioning. Converting HTML pages to PHP4 may be a simple task, but it is fairly
tedious. We've just managed to create a generator for the information database and soon
information pages for Anime series and J-Dramas should be posted up faster. What we have left
we can say is to create the generator pages for character information, goodies, and links,
but it's just a matter of time. More and more content should slowly show up and we will post
up what's new, right on the front page. Visit often, at least to this front page so you can
catch what's been updated. Thank for the patience and all the support!
March 28, 2003 - Still Transitioning
We are still working on it. You may not notice at all, but the pages using the phtml extension
are using PHP4 to be generated dynamically and through sources easier for us to update without
hacking and slashing through raw HTML code. Our plans are currently to move out of using other
server's services such as polling, guestbooks, etc. It may take quite some time for the one web
programmer we have but he's the best we have to transition into PHP4. If everything doesn't work
as well as it should, please drop the webmaster an email. We're ready to serve you!
March 12, 2003 - Updating in Progress!
Our hosting accounting has recently been upgraded to support a wide variety of functionality. What
this means is that we'll be able to provide you with updated content faster as soon as most of the
page layouts are done. This also means that we have to re-code some of the old pages. We're working
on it, slowly and steadily. As soon as layouts are done, content should flow faster than diarrhea.

January 19, 2003 - Slow Updates!
Whew.. it's been hard trying to put together a good site with reviews, downloads and everything.
But we are working on it.. even if at points that it seems slow. Sorry for the holiday delay,
but we are gradually picking up speed. News updates maybe a little slow at this point as we try to
get other pages going so you can have more stuff to download and view. Thank you for your patience!

Back from Anime Expo and ready to add more content to the site. We will work on getting a short summary
of our experiences that we have at Anime Expo. In the meantime, please feel free to take a look around

February 1, 2002 - AnimeFAQs Open to Public!
Thank you for visiting AnimeFAQs! The site has been delayed extensively, due to the busy schedules
of both webmasters. However, we have a bigger staff right now and will continue to work away pieces
of the site so that we can bring more information about anime, Japanese music, dramas and much more!
Please bear with us as we get through the initial transition of putting the site together for you.
